Such a good riding school! It’s spacious, lots of great horses for all levels and sizes, the staff are amazing and very knowledgeable, the staff make all the lessons fun and different. They have a cafe next door. One of my favourite places ever. Also they invite everyone and will teach you: horse riding, how to tack up, how to catch your horse and so much more!
Loved it, the girls teens teaching my two daughters were amazing I can see why people could get upset but this is a country side place which is ran in an old-fashioned way. My advise to have a great time is to have a jersey handy and REMEMBER to bring cash, $15 1/2hour or $20/hour per rider.
+++ If you have anyone who loves the idea of riding, please take them to Heathcote riding school. They went out of their way to accommodate my beautiful granddaughter, she learnt so much in her session, such professional coughing as well as fun. If you are looking for somewhere to learn more about riding, I could never say enough, over my 40yrs of riding school experiences, this is the best in every way, thank you Heathcote riding school we will be back
A really good place for your horse obsessed kid to learn to ride. Nice gang of youngn's looking after the horses and kids and really good value. Starts at $20 hr. It's the Sunday go to.
Amazing Staff, wonderful memories we will definitely be back. This place is Amazing.
First time here and wow do these girls need to learn customer service. We were rudely "greeted" by a bunch of bored teenage girls in an office. I said it's our first time here, but zero conversation, only asked to pay. Once I paid, we were ignored. So we sat and waited, eventually a girl told my daughter to get on a horse, the miniature one, despite my daughter having done horse treks which they would know if someone bothered to acknowledge us. Girl didn't even tell my daughter her name or where they were going or what they were doing. Just lead the horses off.
Always lovely to come out here and be surrounded by horses and nature. My daughter is having lessons for mental heath support and the team here are very caring and understanding. So greatful for the opportunity
brilliant atmosphere, lovely horses. I am going to start going every week because everyone is just so lovely up there and I have such a great time riding. Plenty of varieties of things to do, learning techniques and varieties of jumps. I fully recommend to anyone. And on the plus side, the prices are great! $25 for a group or $40 for a private, which is really really awesome.
Nice folks, daughter loved her ride. Very much an amateur club with club members kids helping out so don't expect "city service". Wear gumboots! Send kid off on a ride and go next door and have great food and coffee at Upshot.
Awful awful place, so much drama and tension among the "staff" Inexperienced teenagers. I was bullied and alienated out of there after too many years of putting up with the treatment I received from the other girls. Fine for kids who want a pony ride here and there but I would advise anyone who wants to ride seriously to stead clear of this place.
