Visiting from Auckland and was recommended to come here.  Big breakfast was delicious, particularly the potatoes and relish. Coffee was top notch.  Price is very expensive… $31 for my breakfast not including coffee, definitely a ‘treat’ sort of cafe.

Somehow, I ended up at Hayes Common 2 weekends in a row for dinner with no regrets whatsoever.  The sticky duck wings are my top recommendation if dining in for dinner with the lamb ribs a close second.  Big fan of the Vietnamese espresso martini too.  The staff were lovely and accommodating for my friend who brought a cake in for us all.  The only downfall was it is slightly chilly at the back of the restaurant but it's not a biggy after a few espresso martinis   Parking: There is lots of street parking, it is a little dark the further down the street you get, I did feel safe walking back to my car so not a biggy.

Awesome food and service. You have to try the fabulous “toastie”. Good coffee. The coffee wasn’t hot enough for me personally but this was instantly sorted. Would definitely go back. I mentioned the fabulous toastie to another friend who raced there the next day to try it. Would definitely recommend and returnFood: 5/5

First time at Hayes Common and been meaning to come for a long time. Fantastic breakfast, great coffee and simple but well thought out menu. Lots of seating inside and out, and great service, friendly staff. Is typical of any neighbourhood cafe you would find in Melbourne or Sydney.

Here almost every month for our Saturday brunch. Love the atmosphere, the furniture, the service and the food. Best mocha in town and my partner and I love the Commoner and Uncommoner brunch meal. Perfectly cooked shrooms, really thick bacon slice and sourdough. We also love the miso potatoes. It has become our habit to bring guests and family here too. Never disappoints! Lovely service from the crew as well making sure we have our coffee orders right away. Top tip: book ahead to have seats!

What a great place to take a break from the busy streets of Hamilton and get a decent lunch. Extremely friendly staff and really good food. After the meal you can take a stroll along the Waikato river.

Cool place with a great vibe. It was super busy when we arrived and had to wait a few minutes before being seated, but once we were seated the food and drinks came in good time considering how busy they were.  Food and cocktails were delicious, and staff were friendly.

went there for brunch on a weekend; it was buzzing as we got there. if it hadnt been for the rain, we would’ve taken the al fresco seats. had the cheese scone and the uncommoner; it was delicious. overall customer service was on point despite the crowd and service staffs were accommodating given we had our friend’s toddler with us. keep up the good work guys!

Had Matariki breakfast here, stunning setting so close to the river but cant see the river itself. The service was amazing, the food was outstanding, I would highly recommend eating here.

We had a dinner with my group of people The Staff were very friendly. Love the service. The place was cozy in a cold night. Food were good. We all enjoyed the lovely night.
