"Formerly known as "The Stables" Harlau House Cafe is a popular destination for great food, drink, friendly staff and a gorgeous setting. Along with beautiful cabinet food with salads, slices, cakes and sandwiches, we also have a full menu from locally sourced bacon and eggs to a full roast of the day. We have something for everyone including kids menu, vegetarian, Gluten free options to fabulous coffee and a fully licenced bar.We now are taking bookings for Weddings, Christmas events and Birthday celebrations. A lovely relaxing place to catch up with friends. The food was good and friendly service. I had the steak sandwich. Looking forward to seeing all the exciting things happening this year in this beautiful historical place.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Wide, open seating. Food can be expensive $24-$30 and not my first choice personally, but still great food for a cafe. Kept clean and tidy. Nice garden area.
A lovely place, with beautiful gardens, with indoor and outdoor tables for patrons. Staff were very friendly ,efficient and helpful. A new showroom for Maree Hynes interior design is opening soon also.
I rang several times to try and book, but had no reply, with a message stating they were open, so drove out assuming that the place was open, to find it was closed for a private function!!! Two other cars arrived at the same time and turned away too. Pity it wasn't on their answer phone message or website.
Lovely environment with a comfortable cafe menu. I expected it to more up market, and so pleased it wasn't. On a sunny day lovely outdoor tables. Great coffee Good food.
I love this place. The atmosphere is just so nice, not a huge menu, but the food is good, and there's cabinet food as well. The staff are lovely too.Photo is the scrambled eggs - delicious! Thank you!
Overall food and drink was good. Well spaced out area for large groups. Outdoor setting will need warmth during winter but that is a given. Head server, once within the fray was excellent to deal with and accomodating
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch in the sunshine. Great food and atmosphere, loved how they welcomed our dog with pats and a huge bowl of water, a great bonus. Friendly and welcoming.
Haven’t been back here since New Management, we ordered 2Coffees and 2Cheese Puffs all up $20:00. The Coffee was absolutely beautiful and the Cheese Puffs just outta the oven were perfect, albeit out of the way a wee bit but worth the trip just to sit.
Good food, excellent coffee not burnt by boiling the water above 93C, spacious tables, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely atmosphere. Harlau house is a bit out of the way, but places you in a country atmosphere. Two cheeze poppers and two almond latter's cost me $20, so their prices are reasonable.
