Nice looking bakery, but the custard donuts were a bit too sweet for me! The store clerks are very attentive and enthusiastic. We have reserved cinnamon rolls and chocolate bread for tomorrow! Hope it tastes good
People recommend the bakery because they have the best pie maybe.nWe didn’t try the pie, we got the bacon roll and sourdough.nThe roll is ok, not great though. The sourdough is kind of hard to tell. Not bad, but different from what I understand.nThe coffee is little blend to me, too much milk for flat white.nBut the staff there are really friendly, and the uncle is really cute nOnly bakery on the street, I think anyway the pie is worth to try.
It’s the bakery you romantically hope every bakery will be. Great cabinet of obviously on-location baked goods and lovely fresh breads. Cinnamon scroll is awesome.
Harbour Street Bakery in Oamaru is a great spot. The pies, cookies, and sausage rolls are all really tasty. Their coffee is good too. It's interesting to see the wall decorated with different currencies from around the world. Plus, the staff are very friendly. Worth a visit for sure!nnThere only a couple of seats available just right outside the stall.nnRecommended.
WOW...... After reading the reviews we decided to drop in for lunch on our trip to Dunedin. In my 65 years I am sure I have not had a better pie, my first 2 choices disappeared as we queued but my third choice, the steak and jalapeno was amazing, the delicious filling totally filled the flakey casing and was followed by a lemon curd cronut which was a taste sensation as well. Needless to say we popped back for more on our way home.nnIf you are a foodie do yourself a huge favour and and indulge at the Harbour Street Bakery!
