Words can not describe how grateful our family are for the care and compassion the team at Harbour Hospice Hibiscus Coast gave our Dad, Charlie. From the day he was bought in to the moment he was discharged we received amazing support from every staff member. The wonderful chefs went out of their way to even cook his favourite Scottish meals. Dad loved being spoilt by the Doctors, nurses and volunteers. We are all comforted knowing he was so well cared for in his final weeks.
Quite a professional, warm feel with friendly staff. I sat waiting for my appointment and was greeted by staff and had the random 'are you being attended to?' asked of me; I felt rather appreciated. Overall a good experience.
I could not recommend them more for their thoughtful terminal and respite care my mother stayed several times. They also give enormous support to the family and provide a place to be close to your loved one and also to cook, shower, sleep if needed. Thank you to all the staff. If you, like us, are ever in the position of choosing end of life for a loved one either here or in a hospital, I would sincerely advise to come here.
To those who may not be aware, my wife has terminal cancer, and she has been granted end of days at hospice as there is only me at home. I get to sleep in the same room, they supply our dinners. They take care of my wife and educate me. I now understand that respite is not only about my wife but also about me. In the end LOVE lives there
Fantastic place. People were great. Place was well looked after. Good access 24/7.
