A high standard sports complex with great food at the club house. Hot chips are the best! Courts 1 & 2 have great viewing from the clubhouse. In winter grounds are very cold and windy, so you need to dress super warm with wind proof jacket, hat and scarf. High standard of hockey being played at all times. Nice to spend time outdoors, and all staff very friendly and helpful :-
Good quality turfs. Lots of space for warmups and runs. Changing rooms are nice and spacious and have bathrooms connected. The upstairs café bit is nice, they serve good chips. It's always fun playing on these turfs and also well lit.
What an incredible coMplex. Five fields, equally impressive. Excellent facilities for the players and magnificent viewing for the supporters.nThe cafe and dining hall is staffed by lively people.nParking is easy and the whole place is easily accessed fro. The motorways.nWell done
Excellent facilities and well run school games on a Tuesday night. We've been here for the last 2 seasons with yr7 and yr8. Love it.
North Harbour Hockey Association NHHA or fondly called as the 'Harbour Hockey' is one of the largest sports Associations in New Zealand, located in the North Shore of the Auckland region. They have very popular 4300 winter season and 2000 summer players drawn from both urban and rural areas.nnIts history goes back to 1973 in which year the North Shore Women’s Hockey Association NSWHA was formed and in 1975 they established its headquarters at Rosedale Park in Albany with the blessings of then North Shore City Council. The Association grew rapidly and in 10 years had doubled in size and incorporated the largest junior girl's division in New Zealand hockey, a status the present day NHHA still holds.nnNHHA operational area extends from Devonport to Warkworth in the east, to Massey and through to Helensville in the west. The Association manages competitions for 10 clubs, 16 secondary schools and 68 junior schools, catering for the midget, novice players through to masters' players in their 60’s.nnIn 2019 NHHA moved to the brand-new world class National Hockey Centre on the Bush Road in Rosedale. It happened as a result of the developments of northbound State Highway 1 aligning with the west bound State Highway 18 which had to use a part of the previous grounds held by the NHHA.
