Amazing place to spend few hours. Also the nearby Rose garden has decades of history.nGreat place for all ages including kids
If you are visiting Hamilton and have spare hour up your sleeve, this is a great place to visit. There are many parking spots around the lake and you can walk clockwise or anti clockwise. 40 minutes or so will get back to your car. I personally prefer the boat club side because l love the wooden board walks which meander through the many displays of water lilies. There is a good cafe and a pretty good playground for kids.
Very child friendly place and the playgrounds is very big with lots of interesting fun for the kids to play with. Parents can join in to enjoy the slide or side by the lake to enjoy the scenery.
Nice place heaps of wildlife. Lovely Walk. Big play ground.greatbfir sat gazing at night also.
Always love a walk around the popular Hamilton Lake. Catch the sunset or sunrise, join a Saturday morning running or walking group. Mix of boardwalks and smooth pavement, flat and east for all ages and abilities. Dogs on leash permitted. An amazing playground next to the main Lake Cafe also very popular for families. There is a playground for tiny tots especially and another for young school age kids including water play.nDrinking fountains, spaces for a picnic, lovely gardens and Lake wildlife all feature. Easy bus or walk from city centre, lots of parking from its many entry points. A hot weekend spot.catch the dragon boats, Waka ama or model remote control boats. 5,500 steps around approx.
