Hamilton City Brass (est. 1936) is an A Grade band. It has been representing Hamilton in local events and on the New Zealand Brass Band scene for a great many years. Hamilton City Brass first competed in a national competition in 1973 in C grade. Hamilton City Brass has been a B grade band for the last few years, with much success in New Zealand and past success in Australia. The most recent success was winning the National B Grade title in 2017, which led to our promotion to A Grade. Hamilton City Brass has a solid group of committed players from a range of backgrounds and ages. Glenn Richards is our Musical Director.
