Our daughter has been attending this preschool since January 2023 and it's such a lovely place, our daughter is super happy, the teachers are lovely and very caring and the preschool itself has been so nice and flexible with my last minute work schedule changes.nnIt's nice and modern, nice class numbers, beautiful food cooked on site way better than what we can cook at home and we feel super lucky that we were able to get our daughter in I signed her up early.nnI really like how the classes are split into different age groups - babies, 2 year olds and then 3-4 year olds, as this has meant our daughter has really grown in confidence as she thrives more in smaller groups.nnShe even gets to attend dance classes whilst at preschool one less thing for me to try and fit in outside of school/work. Every term all of the parents get to come in and have kai and music with the children, it's just lovely.nnIf you're in Halswell, definitely check it out. This preschool stood out to us because it's privately owned rather than a chain. They are always super happy to accommodate all of my requests and want the best for our daughter.
Would highly recommend Halswell Quarry. My baby 9 months has been there for 3 months. They have been attentive and caring as we transitioned to the preschool. My baby has connected well with all the teachers in the nursery. At pick-up they talk to you about how your child has gone for the day, they provide food, they remember things you are concerned about, and they very clearly care about all the children in their care. Their administration is impeccable. Storypark posts every day, completed daily journals of the your child's day, quick updates by email if there are concerns, and thorough monthly updates on your child's progress.
They don't tell u but there is a $100 sign up fee to enroll. The environment isn't very stimulating even though it looks new and pretty. Definitely won't be returning my son hated being stuck inside and teachers not very informative.
