Had a 2-night stay at Haka House Wanaka. The location is excellent, and the views from the king room were fantastic.nnThe only downside was that the shower pressure wasn’t as strong as we would have liked, which seems consistent with some other reviews. Aside from that, it was a comfortable stay and a great base for exploring Wanaka.nnOptions for paid parking on site but there’s plenty of free parking across the street.
Clean, cozy room and had great heating, which made for a very comfortable night. The only hiccup was arriving late; since the reception was closed, we felt a bit lost trying to find our way in. Thankfully, a kind fellow guest pointed us in the right direction to find our check-in envelope. Overall, it's a lovely and warm place to stay with common kitchen and shared spaces.
Great value place to stay in Wanaka. We got way better deal by booking directly on their website rather than on booking dot com. It is a hostel but also has en-suite room with twin beds . They are twin but joined together and no room to separate them if needed. Compact room with all facilities you might need basics. Comfortable mattresses. Location is perfect- town and the lake at your doorstep. Only issue we had was with the shower water pressure. Water was barely flowing.
The room is spacious, the bathroom is a bit small but make the job. You will have a locker in the room which is great. You could parkl your car for 10 $ or for free around
Had a great stay at Haka House Wanaka. The beds were comfy and the privacy curtains on the bunk beds were a fantastic touch in the shared dorms. There was lots of lounge space to relax in, and the team were all really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!
