Waited 40 minutes to get food, in the context of the previous person ordering bulk. Although I dont think it should take that long regardless. Food was alright, serving size was good, pork was tough, flavour a bit bland.
Phoned first, person inaudible and English comprehension not good. Went to dine in, again person inaudible, English comprehension terrible. Items online not showing on menu in restaurant. Order took long. Only 2 drink of 2 brought to table. Went to counter to ask about other drink. Person saw me standing, proceeded to put gloves on and run around doing other tasks. Understaffed, shouldn't have 1 person at counter and also sorting food orders. Waited for about 5 minutes for the person to get me our 2nd drink. Shop closes at 8.30, but closing sign put on door at 8.05 already.
Nice dinner. We went for simple dinner nothing fancy. Got Exactly what we were looking for! Quick meal and back to our fancy hotel.Food: 4/5
Absolutely love this place, we had soft shell crab deep fried, pork and shrimp dumplings with crispy chicken on rice, delicious food!!! The reason why I gave 4 stars is because of the customer service, she didn't understand what I was saying and she was looking at me as if I was going to do something terrible to her, then she just stared at me when I was at the bar, I had to ask her if she could serve me ‍ but other than that, the food is delicious
Nice cosy place to have a delicious Japanese meal. Had a lunch there. The soup was awesome and the fried pork is mouth watering. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Waited over 30 mins for our order. Turns out it was sitting on the bench for 15 mins. At least they said sorry. Edit: I dropped this to a one star. Because this was takeaway and when I got home all of the food was cold and soggy. Will never return.
Cool dining experience, pretty quiet on a Sunday evening so felt relaxing. I had the Yaki Udon and it was tasty! My dining partner had a curry and it was good too. I want to try the Rice Burger next time! Will return. Recommended.
Went there for the the $39 buffet with a friend. Our server for the buffet was lovely and attentive. Food quality has declined though, and servings sizes of some has reduced; namely the dumplings were merely preboiled, then heated at the bottom to crisp. It was barely warm when it was served, compared with the last time we visited in 2021 - the dumplings were piping hot. The matcha ice cream serving size has reduced to a pitiful amount. Which is a shame because it's their best item on the menu. Other menu items were fine, just bear in mind that the wait are less attentive the closer to closing it is. They walk past with their heads down, or ignore you when you try to flag them for service. This is the last time I will be patroning Hachi Hachi.
Very expensive!, lady on the till spoke zero English and messed up my order after at least 10 mins of trying to explain what I wanted. Was a very stressful experience
Hachi Hachi serves authentic Japanese food! I had a pork ramen which was perfect for a gloomy and wet like today. The pork was delicious and tender! However ramen noodles were overcooked. It seems it was understaffed as at 7pm there were only two waitresses taking order, serving food, manning the bar, and closing the bills. The food and cutlery were dropped to the table that the spoon rolled over and over to the other side of the table. The waitress rushed off saying sorry. What was shocking was the drink I ordered was expired it's 5 Jan 2018 today!!! Pictures below. I only noticed the expiry date after having finished it and playing with the can. This is shocking considering the central location of this restaurant presumably busy, or maybe it was an unpopular drink!
