Story

Welcome to the World of GRUB!!!!

Over the last 4 and a half years me and my partner Jessica have travelled around the world extensively meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and trying out new cuisine.

When we (Chris Brierley and Jessica Baker) first arrived in New Zealand 2 years ago, we found our stomachs rumbling for the hearty, strong, simple British flavours we grew up with.
Being surrounded by other Brits who also share these same cravings has led us to embark on a culinary mission to bring proper British grub back to the streets of Auckland.

My food is strongly influenced by my love of my family's cooking and the nostalgia I get from thinking about all the tasty meals I've eaten over the years. I'm very proud to be British and want to share this passion with the rest of New Zealand by providing them with a mouth-watering experience of traditional, hearty grub.

Grub is all about bringing communities of people together to indulge, relax and interact. Grub stands for more than just a business: it’s a culture and a way for us to show our love for traditional British cuisine.

We have already convinced many a skeptic to the moreish glory of the British Kitchen through a menu that’s at once familiar, innovative and addictively delicious.
