GITW (Groove in the Wops) is an annual outdoor music event situated on a private estate in Kaukaupakupa,
The Groove in the Wops idea was born in 2009 when a few mates got together on the notion that their extended Auckland social circle needed a low-cost, high-quality later summer gig.
Originally, the event catered to just friends and their extended peers, after 3 years of underground success, in the year 2012 GITW was made public with ticket sales through iticket.co.nz.
The intimacy of the location and loyalty of the attendees is what helps make the event so special, many of these attendees have attended GITW right from the start and have seen it flourish to the event it is today.
