Grindz is a nice large cafe with plenty of choices on where to sit. There is a nice atmosphere and staff are super friendly even in the busier moments. The menu had a large range of options as well as a full cabinet to choose from. The French toast was beautifully presented and the candy floss is a nice touch, the picture will not do it justice, unfortunately. As a newer local, I cannot wait to come back and eat here.
Absolutely loved everything about this cafe, food was awesome staff were amazing made the trip away from Auckland even better highly recommend.
The coffee was really good! The entire vibe of the place is also very nice with a lot of space. The only thing I didn't like was my food. I got a savoury bacon muffin from the cabinet and it was a bit dry and didn't have such a good flavour. Some of the other girls I went with ordered from the menu, and they were very happy with their food! Overall a very nice cafe
5 Stars just on service alone! Very friendly, happy, accommodating and prompt staff. The cafe was lovely, clean and comfortable. Its great not to feel like your squished in like sardines and eavesdropping on your neighbors conversations for a change. The food was great. We ordered the big breakfasts with a couple of cold beverages and then ordered some hot chocolates to finish off our morning. All tasted delicious. Highly recommend persisting with all the horrible road works to get there. We almost turned back and left Tauranga all together, but I'm so glad my husband and I weathered the inconvenience to enjoy a lovely breakfast together. My only regret is that I forgot to take a photo of our lovely breakfast.
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal & received wonderful friendly service. Infact she came back to us with a complimentary brownie for us to try, which was a lovely surprise. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff, would definitely come back again & recommend it to my friends.Food: 5/5

Absolutely loved the service. The staff were so friendly and hospitable. They allowed us 2 to put our order in before a large group so we didn’t have to wait too long which was so thoughtful. Food was great and reasonably priced. We will definitely go again.
Used to eat here a lot, first time back for a while. I wonder if it's changed hands as the food certainly wasn't great like it used to be. Croissant was heated in the microwave which made it soft and chewy. Instead of a nice chutney on the side we got tomato sauce..and a dry salad. Sorry not impressed.
Nice atmosphere I was able to get some work done, use the wifi and have some good food along the way.Food: 4/5
Fantastic lunch at Grindz today. Friendly staff helped my wife carry our daughter to the table when they saw she had a strapped shoulder. No fuss making minor changes to our order and complementary fries because they had run out of sausages and supplied a vege sausage instead which was just as good. Not often this family of 6 gets change out of $100 dining out. Will return.
