Quite a nostalgic stay for us. Although our room was small, it was clean and tidy and had everything in it we needed. It reminded me of days gone by. The owners are lovely hosts and the staff were great. We would both recommend a stay. The 1860 restaurant served marvelous food and the service was brilliant. Thanks to all.

Good venue for a family gathering. The set menu we had was quite basic, however the dessert made up for that. It was presented well and was delicious.
Our usual spot was closed and this place did not disappoint. Decent pub grub at a good price. Jalapeno peppers were hot, garlic cob loaf was soft and buttery. Would stop again especially with kids.
We had the best Sunday pub meals ever! Fresh locally caught fish with home made batter & homemade mayonnaise & local grown vegs! Best meal to stop over before returning to the drive over the Rimutaka ranges back to Wellington city for work! Great fast service. Highly recommended this place!
Awesome little Hotel with great ambience about the place. Had the best burger ever in the bar too, absolutely delicious.
Our stay was ok. The staff were great but the rooms are incredibly small and stuffy, very hot in summer but ok for 1 night. The bedding, towels and shared bathrooms were clean but for a fraction of the cost you could stay at a backpackers for a similar or better experience.
