Amazing place barely gets dirty

Nice large open space, but the lower fields turn into a bog during winter, and the wetter parts of summer. Reasonable distance from houses so good for firing off diy rockets if there's no wind...but probably no good for high-altitude stuff. Soft landing in winter though if your parachute fails. Good for kids sport too.

Truth be said this place is a bit of a dive. A good example of how Wellington council spends naff all on sports fields compared to likes of Porirua council. The artificial cricket wickets are like bowling onto broken plyboard on a bed of sand. In winter the football pitches are up there as amongst the worst in the area.

This is my favourite place to take the dog for a walk when there are no sports activities. Dogs have to be on a leash at all times. It’s not fenced.

Grenada North Park is a semi secluded sports ground. To access it you have to travel through the Grenada North Business Park after coming of Stat Hi Way 1 at the Tawa off ramp.nIt could do with some directional sign posts on the road side as well as some at he ground depicting which field is which.nIts well kept at this stage and had been mowed recently and was in top condition.
