"If there's one wine shop that sells the best of New Zealand (and the world) this is it" - Peter Gordon

Almost 50 years ago, the Kemp family planted and cared for one of the very first vineyards in the soils of Poverty Bay, Gisborne. Their property backed on to Denis Irwin's renowned establishment and for many years, some of New Zealand's most famous viniculturists passed through the farm gates.
So perhaps it was not surprising that some 30 years later the family would look to carve out its own niche in the fine wine trade.
This began with an award winning restaurant in Taupo - The Bach - and has now evolved into the comprehensive fine wine trading company it is today.

We proudly represent smaller producers, making exquisite wines, in limited quantity. They are the avant garde.
We see ourselves as champions of this cause, with a crystal clear objective - to revive and inspire the wine lists and palates of this country, in celebration of their outstanding achievements.
Whilst our focus is undoubtedly on fine New Zealand wines, increasingly we find ourselves looking to and working with international vineyards of similar size and stature.
Our other key trading area revolves around our unique rare and fine wine collection, whereby we have sourced and cellared one of the most comprehensive collections of bottle aged, New Zealand wine, in the World.
Occasionally we stumble across other outstanding wines from other parts of the world and these can found within our fine wine collection too.
