Grandview Community Garden is an organic allotment garden in Hamilton where members grow food for themselves and their families. Come and join us.
If you would like to join the garden , please message us here. Grandview Community Garden Charitable Trust was formed in June 2012 as an outcome of the Waikato International Community Garden Project (WIC) .
We are open to anyone, in particular members of the local community. The 3,000sqM site is currently gardened allotment style by 62 members from over 16 ethnic groups.
Each member works an allotment at the Grandview Community Garden. They take home what they grow.
A Community Garden mentor works with the group. The mentoring sessions follow the New Zealand vege and fruit gardening year from sowing to harvest, including; planning a garden for year long harvest. Emphasis on thrifty, sustainable methods. Participants take new skills home and continue to garden.
