Grand Illusions

Today we visited Grand Illusions in Greytown. As we were looking around the garden, I spotted a plant which I last saw during my childhood back in Eastern Europe around 30 years ago. That brought me to tears as I picked a few seeds total of 5 as we did when we were kids. While I was trying to remember the name of the plant in hopes to approach the shop assistant to help me if they knew the name of the plant and if I could take the seeds with me as we were making our way to the shop. Suddenly, we saw the man walking fast in our direction. Quite rudely, he told us that we’re on his private property and not allowed to pick any seeds. I asked politely if he knew the name of the plant but he ignored my question and told me to leave the seeds right there. I put the seeds into a nearby pot plant and we left. This is our second visit to the shop and I firmly believe the last. During our first visit, we were told not to touch any garden objects that were for sale. It makes us wonder if it’s something wrong with our accent or appearance to get such unwelcome and hostile treatment.
