But that’s not all...

We also have a 1/15th share of and can romp around a further 175 acres of breathtaking and productive organic land, grazing beef herd, stockyard, lake, barn, hay shed, shade house and community orchard. As part of an eco conscious village, full of bright and artistic people, www.otamatea.org is a world of it's own. A bubble far removed from the daily grind of Auckland and yet just over an hour's drive away.

Above our block across the road are grazing paddocks so you will always have that rural feeling at your shoulder as you look out to the bird life and tranquillity of the sky and water views. The only annoying part of this paradise are the peacocks who visit from time to time and sing too loudly.

There are currently no dwellings on our 5 acre block. A Resource Consent was approved several years ago for two dwellings but it has since lapsed. Our 5 acre lot also has a connection to the lake/reservoir so permanent irrigation is possible and we are also able to connect to electricity if wanted. There are two formed driveways with separate entrances, multiple building sights, all with spectacular views and sunshine.

We would be very interested in hearing from another family who would like to co-own half of our 5 acres and half of our 1/15th share of community land and resources. We envisage sub-dividing the 5 acres so we each have our own freehold land titles. This arrangement has already been done successfully at two other Lots in the eco village recently.

2.5 acres is more manageable if you're thinking of retiring or just want that extra special lifestyle. But don't forget, you still have 175 acres of the eco village to play on. And when the tide is out there is a massive beach right at the bottom of your garden!

We are open to negotiation with the right people. After all we will be neighbours. We would consider a swap if that helps, e.g. an investment property for us in another location (no Leasehold properties please).

Alternatively we would reluctantly consider selling all of GraceWater, being the full 5 acres and 1/15th share of community land and resources.

The land size is as follows. Travel time from Auckland CBD (Ponsonby) is just over 1 hour and a very pleasant drive. In a few years when SH1 reaches Wellsford the travel time will be even less!
