Recently purchased their Greek yoghurt which had a different coloured purple lid, when I opened it the top of the yoghurt had a purple tinge to it. I advised the company only to be told that it was fine to consume as it is food grade ink and fine to consume. How are we supposed to know this? No compensation offered by the company. Wondering how many others threw their yoghurt out? As a long time consumer of this product, I am left feeling rather disappointed with their customer service
Compare the weight of yoghurt containers as you remove them from the supermarket shelf; quality control does not always prevent short-weight, as I discovered recently, with a 750mg Greek yoghurt container purple lid being half-filled. However the yoghurt currently remains a favourite with no thickeners or preservatives added. Company notified.
This yoghurt has to be the best value for money in NZ. It is totally natural. What I wonder is why has our Cromwell New World moved this product away from the other yogurts making it harder to find???
Glad to see the yellow non-homogenized yoghurt back I don't know if it went away or I just couldn't find it, it's awesome. It beats any yoghurt in the supermarket and is among the cheapest. Maybe others are right about a little batch inconsistency but it's a natural product, what do they expect.
Constantly a 'hit and miss' with gopala yoghurt. One week you will purchase the product and its fine, the next week you purchase product, and upon opening are hit with the smell of sour/rancid yoghurt. Time to get quality control sorted people! We normally love the green lid yoghurt but had to purchase the yellow lids two lots. We purchased this close to 3 weeks prior to the expiry date and both lots were off the cream on top goes off very quickly. So the cheap price is generally offset by the containers purchased and then thrown away due to off yoghurt. Very frustrating.
I’ve been using gopala for years now. Recently the quality is degrading. Yellow cap yogurt is not thick as it used to be or loses its consistency quickly I’ve noticed this recently. Also gopala mango lassi doesn’t even have slight taste of mango in it, and to my surprise the bottle was 1/3 empty. Keep up your game guys you will soon loose market with these kind of experiences by your loyal customers.
We have been using the yellow top non homogenised yoghurt for years - it's the best natural yoghurt on the market. Recently it has disappeared from my supermarket, replaced with purple top thickened gloop. Is the yellow top available anywhere? Regards, Julian & Bev
I bought 2 Litter Gopala Ghee. When I melted, ghee’s colour changed and become white and smell off or weird. I have email the company and asked why this happened. It’s been 1 week , no reply from them. Be careful it says 100% pure ghee. But it’s not. You can try if you want. It’s not even cheap.
We have purchased Gopala Yoghurt couple of weeks back When I opened the sealed lid for my little girl we found a glass piece inside. When we informed the company they denied and explained that this happened from somewhere, not from their end. So just be aware of buying this brand guys.. Thanks
I bought 2 Litter Gopala Ghee. When I opened its all white layered and smelly, and when make it warm whole house smell off. Be careful it says 100% pure ghee. But it’s not. Paid quit a lot. Very disappointing. Not recommended
