Cute cafe. The Polish pastries were good. Coffee was OK. Decor simple and uncluttered. Owners, unfortunately, bit too busy to chat. I've been looking forward to meeting them for months.
Goose is such an amazing Bakery/Cafe. The staff is incredible and welcoming. If you haven’t been to the area before and are looking for an excellent coffee and pastry look no further. The iced lattes and chocolate croissants are pure happiness.
Had the cranberry chicken pie which was really good. A lot better than the pies you get from the market. The iced matcha was different to what I expected. It is more like a milk shake instead, was also not bad. Very limited options as it seems they only serve from the cabinet. Unless I have missed their lunch menu. Overall, enjoyed my brief visit there.
Passed this spot a few times at this main road roundabout on my travels. Caught my eye, a whole stand alone bakery! I quickly searched it up and Instagram got me curious. Picked up a few items to go, definitely worth the stop and the staff are very friendly too! Eye drooling worthy food.
I can’t say enough good things about The Goose Cafe in Matakana. Run by a gorgeous Polish family, this place has become my go-to spot. The barista is hands down one of the best coffee makers I've ever met. Every cup is pure perfection.nnThe lovely lady who always serves me has such a wonderful, friendly and warm human being. I feel a bit guilty because I haven’t caught all their names yet mum brain!, but they’re all so fantastic.nnThe food is amazing, the coffee is top-notch, and the staff are just lovely. The Goose Cafe is truly special, and I can't recommend it enough. 11/10!
