$90 for 3 people no drinks. There's that money gone.nnThis is the first review I've made and it was pretty bad for me to write one as I like to focus on the positive things. I'll get straight to the point. Extremely overpriced $26 for a Caesar salad one of the bar staff couldve made with its quality. Had to ask for the anchovies for the salad because they forgot it. 80% lettuce, the ratio was all off. Fish was really greasy, couldn't finish it, and the salad was doused in oil to make it more edible for people.nChips were soggy and hard in the middle. The chicken burger was just fine.nnOverall, really bland oily food that you regret eating- won't be going back there again. I don't suggest going here despite its apparent high rating. Popularity often doesn't mean quality. We've now learnt to steer a bit clear of tacky popular pub food.

We have been regulars here over a few years. No service in the outside area so had to go in to order. Tonight I had porterhouse steak, the dearest item on the menu. After I had managed to cut off the gristle, which our dog enjoyed I had little over half of it left to chew. However chips and slaw were fine.nDaughter had pork belly which was a few thinly cut slices of belly.nConsidering the cost $144, it was very average at best. Food and service not as good as it used to be.

First timer here at Good Eastern Taphouse, and I absolutely loved it. Had a friend's birthday dinner her choice of venue, and the food was amazing couldn't fault anything, came out nice and hot everything was spot on and we had different drinks to go down as well, the staff were very great and friendly, atmosphere was great and pricing was just as great. We will definitely be back again real soon.

Came to the Good Eastern Taphouse for dinner, the service was good and the overall atmosphere was awesome but the food is very mediocre....nnI ordered the pork belly with crackling & seed crumble... First off there was no crackling which is unfortunate because thats the main reason I ordered it? Secondly, I really think putting the applesauce in a side dish would be more beneficial rather than dumping it on the plate and ending up with soggy fries...nnMy fiance ordered the beef burger which had no sauce? The Aioli sauce for the fries were nice however :nnThe garlic bread was also a bit dry..nnOur food also came out warm not hot which isn't ideal but understandably it was very busy.nnOverall the experience was good but unfortunately there is a lot of improvement needed for the food quality. The staff were very kind and welcoming and the overall feel for the restaurant is really nice and spacious.
