Good Eastern Taphouse

Today we went to Good Eastern Taphouse for the first time.nI ordered a kombucha—according to the menu, there were several varieties available, but in fact only orange sparkling was available.nnWe had the Kiwi As Beef Burger and the Fully Loaded Nachos.nThe burger was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the nachos: they weren't spicy at all, there was very little ground beef, and the guacamole seemed like a ready-made product from the supermarket.nnTo make matters worse, my glass was broken and dirty. We were also initially assigned a dirty table. When I politely asked the waitress to clean it, she reacted somewhat irritably and then asked again if it was “okay now” – which seemed unprofessional.nnAll in all, it's not a place we would visit again.

The Good Eastern Taphouse is undergoing a revamp, meaning they are catering to sports fans whilst keeping the family vibe it seems.nnI popped in tonight, for a cheeky beverage, and to feed the kids. Their new entertainment system and general upgrade is so much more inviting.nnWith a BIG screen, sports, music and family kids tv all on view, it seems everyone is catered for.nnNo, i'm not a share holder i promise, it's just a refreshing change for a 'tired old lady' and somewhere to try out with a new menu and great food the Mediterranean salad was amazing!.

We visited here before our nighttime walk at Redwoods forest and it was the perfect stop! The chicken Caesar salads was very very tasty and the waffles for dessert were nice too!

What a great place ! We called in without a booking and not only received a lovely warm welcome but were also seated right away. As a Tap-Room, the range of Beers is outstanding, we enjoyed a Hazy IPA. The food is also fantastic with an Eastern Asian influence across the Menu, we really enjoyed the Thai Beef Salad & the Chicken Donburi Bowl, both amazing. While we were eating our food, a Musician was setting-up for an evening off Live-Music.

Absolutely the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life! I don’t review on google often but felt this had to be posted, had the ‘Kiwi as Beef’ burger and somehow it tasted both fatty and rancid yet dry as cardboard. My wife and I shared the burger and the photo shows how much I could stomach it my half. Terrible.
