Golden Steamboat

We've tried the meals, and we've tried the hot pot, and all in all it wasn't bad. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A rather pricey restaurant, but the quality of the dishes and the hot pot in particular were pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Just an average restaurant that lives up to its price.

Most Horrible food I've ever had in NZ. Food smells as if they are uncooked. Burnt rice, smelly chicken and chewy pork. Wasted our time and money. Threw all of them out instead of getting food poisoning tomorrow. If there is an option to give you guys a zero I would have.

Pretty good pork buns and noodles. Beef pancake a bit doughy. Friendly staff and they help you out if you’re not sure what is what!

Ordered on Uber Eats last night. Hands down the worst Asian food I've ever had in New Zealand. The pork was chewy, the ribs were tiny, dry and stringy and my son had to ask me what the white stuff was, when I told him it was chicken, he didn't believe me. To be fair I had my doubts too. And, despite costing $92 for 3 dishes, the meal arrived with no rice. Given that there are so many great places to eat Asian food around Albany, my advice would be: Go somewhere else... anywhere in fact.

Very unhappy about the taste of the food, one of the worst cashew nut chicken stir fry and pork stir fry I have ever had. Did a late night take away for two and threw out each after a single bite. Would give 0 stars if I could. To put it very mildly, Disgusting!

A Chinese restaurant but the staff can speak English well. They are also nice. The food is delicious but some may have more oil than it needed. However, it's a nice and cozy place for friends and family spend time together. Open time: 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.

Our favorite yumcha location around the corner closed, so we decided to give this place a go. First Google food categorized it as yumcha, which it clearly was not. "Oh well, hot pot is OK, we'll look at the menu." Second, the menu's English translation was poor - 'tough' for tongue, 'pipe' for heart. Third, ingredient listing was non-existent: ordered pear tea, which I enjoyed, but my wife did not on account of the unlisted honey she's allergic to it. Fourth, we got some quick grilled skewers and fried appetizers, and ended up having to point to items on menu. Considering there was only three tables occupied, they sure took their time in preparation of the food. Quality was good, but for the price and what we got, should have just went to MomoTea. In all likelihood we will not be returning...
