This place was bad. Staff were friendly but unfortunately they messed up our first booking by not putting it in the system. They then booked us in a few days later but it was a very hot day and the spa was not enjoyable. The massage itself if you'd call it that was more of a very soft rub almost felt like they just didn't want to be there at all.
Enjoyed the spa bliss for two package - lovely staff, very relaxing environment. Felt like a new person afterwards. Looking forward to going back again.

I used to love this place and have spent alot over the years. It has gone extremley down hill since Covid and their loss in staff. My massage was extremley poor. It lacked technique and was extremley light even when I made a point of enjoying firmer massages. The therapist openly discussed her pov over bigger people and made me feel very self concious around my weight. When I wrote to complain- they simly texted me thanks for your comments and we will try work on things. There was no apology made, nor any sort of compensation offered. This has been the 3rd bad massage that I, my husband and my mother in law have had in the past few months. Waste of money!!
Had a wonderful pregnancy bath, massage and facial. Fell asleep and then was treated to some afternoon tea. Absolutely amazing, definitely recommend!
This place would have to be the worst place in Christchurch the people who run this place are disrespectul and rude and have no regard to the clients and what an absolute disgrace to the Health and Beauty Industry. I would like to inform anyone who attends this location and business to be aware of how rude the manager is and as for the massage therapists absolutely useless my toddler could do a better job than these Bozos Highly recommend to stay clear and save yourself from this place and your hard earned money.
I just had the pregnancy massage and facial, honestly the best massage I've ever had - pregnant or not. Beautiful rooms and atmosphere including special little touches not found elsewhere, and wonderful staff. I can't recommend Gloucester Cottage enough, I'll definitely be back. Thank you!
