September 2022 3* Departure experience from Terminal 2C is not very smooth as it was crowded. Immigration did not take much time but there was long queue at security. Staff was trying to help everyone. Big disappointment is shopping area as I saw many shops are closed now especially Disney and M&M. Did not find many options for gifting. However you can see many luxury stores. We took bus to board the flight so not that convenient. August 2022 4* Arrived to Paris from Toronto via Air Canada flight at Terminal 2C. The airport is quite big and nicely designed. It is one of the oldest and busiest airport in the world Arrival was smooth and immigration process was quick. The staff is efficient and guide it well. The baggage area is nicely designed to avoid crowding level. The airport is connected with various public transport option as well as regional train. You can travel to different cities.
I had the pleasure of traveling through Charles de Gaulle Airport and I have to say that it exceeded all of my expectations. The airport is extremely well-organized and easy to navigate, with clear signage directing travelers to their gates and amenities. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and modern. One of the standout features of Charles de Gaulle Airport is the variety of dining and shopping options available. From local specialties to international brands, there is something for everyone. The airport also has a wide range of amenities, including comfortable seating areas, charging stations, and even a spa. Overall, I would highly recommend Charles de Gaulle Airport to anyone traveling through Paris. It truly is a world-class airport and a pleasure to travel through. Five stars!
Easy to get around and find directions. Helpful people. The signage is well done…. Simple to follow. Clean building, clean restrooms…. and TSA lines were not terrible. Slow but bearable. Be sure to plan ahead for your flights. You never know when it will be extra busy.
Visited the airport twice in September 2022 for short transits. Inter transfer among the terminals was pretty organized. The security check was quick and the staffs were helpful. In terminal 2A there is a good seating area where you can have a quick nap just beside McDonald's. I would say the seats were better than the available lounges. Little ones can have a good time with the arcade games! Enough charging ports are available. Terminal 2E M has some cozy seating areas. It also has a corner with a play station, suitable for both kids and adults. Wifi connection is decent.
Really great airport, very easy to find connecting planes and staff all were really friendly and helpful. Run a tight ship here everyone on off plane so quickly and very efficiently. Definitely will be back. Lots of shops and coffee / food places as well and very reasonable for traveler’s.
It gets better everytime I visit this airport. They are rebuilding sections, and there will be more stores and restaurants. Some terminals are great, and other miss some restaurants and duty free stores. There are many vending machines available, very convenient. Restrooms are clean, staff is friendly. As you get to correct terminal, it is quite easy to find proper gate. You can travel between terminals via airport train. Airport manages quite well many visitors. Well communicated with city, clean, a lot of sitting space to wait for travel.
This airport is very big with wide open spaces however, it did not look like there were a lot of shops or food stalls when we traveled through to get to our flight into Scotland. The airport was a bit difficult to navigate. We did see interesting chaise lounges for people to sleep on when they needed a rest. We were surprised travellers could get so comfortable and snooze in between connecting flights.
When airport Inn in an english-speaking country it is an amazing place to be. This stuff will go out of their way to make one feel comfortable in as far as language is concerned. Very accommodating in terms of learning the basics. If you can show effort of trying to say something in French then those around would try to get what you mean. The airport is endowed with shops . Some stuff absolutely cheap. Souvenirs in all shapes and sizes for the young and the old. The rest rooms were quiet beautiful as well. It's a combination of cultures and making friends with the next person is so easy. Yet I was quick not to get into other people's space
The airport really improved a lot! Although it's very big and connection flights can be difficult due to the distance of the gates I really had to run the last times to not miss my connection flight, it was a really pleasant experience this time. You will find some shops and restaurants everywhere.
I really wanted to like Charles de Gaulle airport considering I was only here for a short while and there’s not much wrong with the airport itself. Also having learned French and immersed myself into the French culture, I was looking forward to “being” in France for the first time. I’d a layover of around a couple of hours here. The lady at the security check was chatting merrily with her colleague, and I forgot to take my cap off before beginning to proceed to security. She very rudely exclaimed, “You’ve to talk” when I was quietly taking my cap off. She then continued to stare at me till I’d proceeded to security. It was a very bad experience being a person of color. In contrast, the white person behind me had no problems whatsoever. The airport has the basic amenities here, it’s swankily built, has a decent amount of food and coffee shopsyeah the Starbucks is here, where aren’t they, and some other stores to buy gift items and other things. You might have to walk a decent amount to get to your gate here, so plan accordingly. I look forward to the security staff here receiving proper training, otherwise this airport is great if you’re white, and can be not so great if you’re a person of color. And it’s sad that I’ve to say this in 2023.
