This store is so totally out of my way but I go once a week and it never disappoints! I always find some items I need and can't get elsewhere. Makes my life good. So def like and appreciate shopping here thank you!
Clean and nice grocery shop that provides a wide variety of items. The prices are pretty much the same as others but they also have imported ones like coffee that are rare to find in new world, countdown or paknsave. Enjoyable shopping experience.
I just opened the camembert that I bought here 4 hours ago and it's off. The best by date was for 10 days from now but it was pretty revolving. I've also bought moody bread from this store at least 4 times at this point.
Appalling. went in late around 15 mins before closing to try and find one of my fave Healthfood goodies as there's such a good selection. But it wasn't in stock unfortunately so I soon after left 5 minutes later! I got the most disgusting look from the security guard I've ever experienced along with shaking their head at me as I was walking out! Bizarre, and horrible. Will never go back
I am used to be a regular customer as I live nearby. Went in last week, wearing gym clothes, 10 minutes before closing and a security staff started shouting from far that they were closing. I asked her if there was enough time to grab a box of eggs for breakfast. She did not look happy and followed me around the store to the tilt. I went back today, once again wearing my gym clothes, got my groceries in a basket. Went to the tilt, PAID and then opened my backpack to put groceries in. SAME security staff came around for a “quick bag check” ….. I think she has a problem with people in gym clothes…. Are these not allowed in Merivale? Not going back!
We are from Greymouth and when we come to Christchurch we shop in your store. We love it and just wish we had your shop over here.Its a pleasure to shop
Keep and check your receipts, especially if you buy something on "sale" You can almost guarantee the checkout will charge you full price. It has happened so often to me there's no way it's a mistake - it's by design
Check what youre being charged at the checkout Sloppy pricing means what you thought you're paying is not the case. There is often a difference between what the shelf price says and what goes through the till.Not good enough Freshchoice!
Such an upmarket, well polished supermarket! You can find higher quality small goods and groceries here at a fair price point. While expensive, a lot of the range here is upmarket high quality goods like exceptionally fresh vegetables, meat and fish, all presented nicely with a significant range of environmentally sustainable practises like recyclable meat trays and bring your own containers! The slightly higher price point is well justified here. Highly recommended!
To call these sausages Irish is an insult. Literally the worst sausage I have ever tasted. Please change the name
