Love shopping at Ballantynes especially after a lovely coffee at coffee culture Crossing and on the way to the Riverside Market is the lovely Ballantynes. My favorite shops including Super dry and Clinique store. Also the kitchen department and the upstairs furniture home decor corner.
Lovely selection of things. Staff was more than. Helpful. Was bit lost and guided me all the way from ground level to above to direct me to right place. Had wonderful Christmas display when I visited with loads of great Christmas decorations and things available.
My daughter and I made our customary pre Christmas visit to your store last week and enjoyed excellent staff service throughout, thankyou. However we found that the quality and variety of food in the lower ground floor restaurant was not up to previous standards, e.g. the vegetarian wrap filling was bitter not fresh and contained minimal dressing. My biggest disappointment was that the real Christmas message was almost non existent with a few silhouettes relegated to the last window down Colombo street, while all the many other windows looked attractive fairy tales. We have come to expect a higher standard from Ballantynes so hope for better next year please.
Amazing shop. First visit as we are from Auckland. Top notch professional service from homewares, Christmas shop and China department plus the most beautiful Earl Grey tea from the cafe. You just about need a full day in there. Will look forward to visiting again sometime
Absolutely terrible service today in the shoe department . took my 83 year old mother in to look for some shoes size 35 - immediately told don’t stock them even though the grand we liked at made them then walked away ! No follow up that we may be able to order online, no looking to see if they are available . R came to Ballantynes for the service . .We then started trying on 36s on our own and got some assistance Unfortunately overheard the staff talking about our request for. a size 35 and could hear the conversation . Very short with my mother . Off to Overland around the corner could not be more helpful offered to order in , listened to what my mother needed and told me about ordering online . So very disappointing Ballantynes
The Asian old lady working at Estée Lauder was so rude yesterday the 1/11/22 in the evening. She was not approachable and was So annoyed when i asked for color match. She even told me she needs to go for her break now and she cant help and was showing a lot of attitude. if you can't communicate with with the costumers then i don't think this is the perfect job for you old lady. stay home
If I had a large amount of money or Merivale money for that matter I'd be in my happy place. Other than that, it's a fine department store for the city of Christchuch.
The website is a nightmare to use, can’t filter out age for toys , the address doesn’t load and very hard to navigate. Have tried buying items online several times and it’s such a tedious process please do something about your website
My favourite place for shopping. Nice and clean toilets. Staff are polite and friendly.
