Went with a friend to pick up family members. The camp area is unchanged, still a great place to go for camps
So much fun! Here for the annual UV Hui conference with about 200 others. A great venue in which to bring us closer together in God. Pricing reasonable, and facilities good. The chapel and gym are awesome and have a nice layout and design. Topped off with friendly staff, and the gorgeous location of the still and reflective lake, and coming here is often the highlight of my year. Thank you:
A solid camp for groups of medium size. Good range of facilities and activities, well maintained premises. Owners are communicative and helpful, and catering staff do their best to accommodate dietary issues. Appealing situation and buildings arranged to bring people together, rather than squirrel them away. Recommended.

Forest lakes camp is amazing!! My 8 year old daughter had the time of her life last week. She had fun, met amazing leaders, made some new friends and got to do activities outside of her comfort zone. The camp is well run, the leaders are trained wonderfully and the campground itself is set up great. Liz is a great coordinator and she runs the camp so well. Thanks so much for giving my girl a great experience.. She will be coming again
Despite some of obstacles being dated and requiring a good clean the kids enjoyed the venue School camp. Rooms could've done with a clean, a dust wouldn't have gone astray. Some of the activities were not operable, Horse instructor left our kids on edge with her 30 min briefing, by comparison the kayak instructor ensured the kids were all at ease before and whilst they were in the water. All but one of the meals left much to be desired but I guess u get what you pay for.
Best getaway venue, best Birthday celebration venue
Stayed in the Lakeside Villas for 3 days as attending a wedding near here at Manakau. Villas are fantastic. Comfortably sleep 4 to 6. Very roomy and clean and modern. The villas are set to the side of the campground and although there were two large families staying at the Camp we were not impacted at all. Lovely and quiet and looks out onto the lake. Only 7 mins to Otaki which is full of outlet shops and a New World supermarket. A bit scary getting on and off SH1 but you get used to that.
The sleeping rooms were disgusting as well as the toilets and showers! There was cobwebs and dead insects everywhere. We had booked in at least 4 months ago for our church group.......there were over 100! So they had plenty of time to clean it up!
