Mindfulness, self compassion and Focusing are becoming more widely spoken about and researched. Studies show that the brain actually changes as a result of mindfulness meditation. For example, brain scans show that for meditators there is a shift in activity from the part of the brain that generates negative thoughts and emotions to the part that approaches situations more positively.
