Flame Bar & Grill

Read great reviews on Flame and had high expectations. Order ribeye, lamb skewer, mixed grill to share between us. Whilst the quality of meat was good, the sauce that was brush on all the meat had the same taste and ribs were tough, not like how it's supposed to fall off the bone, which was quite disappointing. I also prefer my steak with just salt and pepper. But the staffs were attentive and friendly. Overall a great experience.

We visited this restaurant at around 14:00, and about half of the tables were available.nnWe ordered three dishes: the rib and steak combo, lamb skewers, and grilled vegetables. The lamb was soft and tender, though it could have been even better if it were a bit juicier. The combo plate was about 80% pork ribs and 20% steak, which felt a little unbalanced. Unfortunately, the pork ribs were quite dry and chewy, making them difficult to finish. I hope this can be improved in the future.nnAs this is a flame grill bar, there’s an impressive open flame cooking station in the center of the kitchen—it looks great, but it also produces some smoke that can leave your clothes smelling afterward.nnThe service team was friendly and efficient, always smiling. However, the waiter forgot to bring our bill at the end, which was a small pity.

This was a great choice for eating out in Queenstown. Food was prepared perfectly in a timely manner and the staff were great and attentive even when busy.nValue was amazing, if anything too much food never a bad thingnVery accomodating and fit my partner and I in for a last minute booking when we called ahead despite being booked out online.nCant wait to come back to Flame.

We had lunch here and ordered the pork ribs half rack and ribeye steak combo with chips, a starter-size green mussel dish, a small slaw salad, and two Coke Zeros. We always come here whenever we visit Queenstown.nnThe pork ribs were delicious and very generous for a lunch deal. The mussels in creamy sauce were full of flavor, and the steak with added mushroom sauce was also very satisfying.nnWe ended with their signature flame-shaped gelato, which was the perfect dessert. Since it was my husband’s birthday, they even added a special chocolate decoration — such a lovely touch.nnWe had a 12 PM booking, and although I don’t remember the name of the female staff member who served us, she was very kind and gave us great service. Thanks to her, we had a really special time.

We went to Flame Bar and Grill with high expectations as we were celebrating our birthday, but the experience was poor. The fries were overly salty, the bathroom was dirty, and our table was wobbly and unstable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was okay overall – but for the price, it should have been much better.
