Quite possibly the worst company we have ever dealt with in New Zealand. We were repeat customers until last week when we ordered a large food order. The food arrived damaged dropped unsealed and not chilled as a result. We took photos and advised the company immediately only to be told that they had tested their packaging and they would not provide a full refund. It’s become clear from other customer reviews that the company is receiving multiple complaints about food arriving in an un-chilled state so one would realistically think that they would respond appropriately to customers who experience this same issue by either replacing the food or refunding as a minimum. WARNING: Save yourself the hassle and the risk as in our experience this company is short sighted and do not stand by their product/ service when food arrives in a unsatisfactory manner. Life’s too short to deal with a company so arrogant to not care about customer satisfaction and there are plenty of other companies in NZ that stand by their products!!!!
I had the Christmas meal delivered last Xmas to Temuka. My 84 year old friend who lives my herself was very impressed. Nice and fresh and delicious with plenty of flavour. My review is late but just thought if doing this as I'm going to order it again for her. So thought a review would be a way of thanking them.
Gave them 2 chances to make sure my experience was not a glitch. First order arrived late, all food defrosted. After I queried this with Fitfood they blamed it on NZ Post. The Weight management meals were very average at best and I am not sure the meat was cooked all the way through. My partner found the vegetarian meals uninspiring. Second order arrived late with all food defrosted including the "frozen" meals. Items packed very poorly into an overly large box. Some meals arrived with plastic covers torn and food exposed/leaking. No apology from Fitfood after I notified them and again tried to blame NZ Post. Said they would "investigate". That was almost 3 weeks ago and no comms since. Very disappointing. The only good thing I can say are that the meal portion sizes are generous but really....given the fact that meals arrive late and potentially no longer safe to eat, I would give this company a miss.
Two nights in transit, definitely not refrigerated in between, arrived just within the 48 hours... Needless to say, the chicken had gone off, packaging swelled and stank. I was told the rest of the meals should still be fine to feed my 2 year old??? Some including fish??? I'll be posting all 9 meals back to them, as horrific service in delivering and handling of the situation - could cause serious food poisoning.
Blown away! Have used many alternative ready made meal companies and have generally thought “eh the food is good enough for the convenience”. But FitFood are honestly just delicious meals and taste as good as if you made it yourself. Seamless system getting my order, awesome customer service and beautiful food.
By far the best food delivery company I have ever used. The vege options are amazing! Hoping that you will continue to change up and add to the menus so that I can keep ordering and not get bored of the options as I have been ordering every couple of weeks . So convenient for busy mamas like myself
Don't know what people are complaining about. Just had the chicken and risotto. I have a big appetite and would say the portion was spot on. Anyone that says otherwise is eating too much as these meals are ment to be appropriate portioned for health guidelines. Flavor wise 7/10 and that's only because i like spicy food so with a touch of Chilli was great. It's impossible to cater to everyone's tastes, being prepackaged so anyone saying it's brand does not have many taste buds. I've tried 5 other companies and fit food is by far the best. Note to consumers, these meals are best defrosted naturally and heated in the microwave. Cooking them straight from defrost damages the texture and flavor. General taste 8/10 Value for money 10/10 Portions 10/10
The best meal delivery service out there in my opinion! The meals I ordered recently were absolutely delicious and the portions generous. The variety of meals is second to none and so was the excellent customer service I received.
On my third week of the keto range meals and absolutely loving them. Good portion size and they are really tasty. Ive tried quite a few of these companies and this is by far the best in my opinion. Also the customer service is great - i get email update on every part of the foods journey all the way to my door which is very handy. Very happy customer.
Wow! These meals are amazing. I'm so happy! I'll be ordering from here weekly for sure. Very fresh, great portions, nice meat and super tasty. Thanks team...i haven't needed to season anything!
