Very disappointed. Spoke to the owner yesterday. He told me he’d’ be open at 10am, weather dependent. It’s a beautiful sunny day it’s 11am and closed, Sunday 17 July. Just called the freephone number and I’m informed they will open again on 5 September 2022!
We had my niece with us for the day and decided to take her for a scooter on the walkway of the marine parade but forgot her safety gear, we popped in to see if we could hire a helmet for her and was kindly offered a helmet free of charge! We really appreciate it and my niece was one happy 3 year old! Happy New Year guys
Weather was inclement and the shop was closed, but nonetheless staff at Fishbike met me at the shop to supply the bike I had reserved. Wade is very personable and enthusiastic about cycling and the Napier area. He provided a thorough overview of the various cycling routes; with details about locations which were scenic and interesting. I enjoyed riding a good quality, sturdy bike in excellent condition.
Rent a bike with a child seat. The bike was not in a good condition - one set of gears didn’t work, the other set of gears kept slipping. Option to pay for the hours rather than rent for the whole day on return of the bike - however the way they recorded the time seemed to be longer than how long we actually had the bike. Would not recommend.
Booked 2 1/2 months in advance for the day noting their closing hours are 5pm to ride the wineries. Turned up on the day to be told they were closing at 1pm because it was someones birthday!!??. No contact from them, very disappointed, itinerary ruined. Not what I understand to be Napier style. Book at napier city bike hire across from isite
Went bike riding with my mum and my little sister and baby in one of their trailers. The guy who served us was incredibly rude to us which we ignored however we couldn’t ignore how rude he was to us when my mum complained to him about the bike he gave her. Her bike chain kept stuffing up on the bike and it sounded like metal was grinding on it. It wasn’t enjoyable for her to ride. When she brought the issue up to him, he made it sound like it was her fault and completely disregarded what she was saying to him. He wouldn’t even test drive the bike to confirm what we were talking about. I wouldn’t recommend going here as we believe it was a race issue for why he was so rude to us.
I have recently bought a new Ebike and got myself into a mess going up Bluff Hill. I had to free down to FishBike to ask for some help. The guy at Fishbike stopped what he was busy with and assisted me. He was super helpful and even gave me some tips on how to avoid this from happening in the future. All of this despite not even buying the bike from Fishbikes. I can definitely recommend them, as they saved me from walking home.
Guy behind the counter not a people person bit of a rude attitude, like you were a hindering him by being there.When your on holidays spending good money for a bike ride you expect some friendliness. Apart from that the ladie was very lovely for her assistance thankyou.
Really enjoyed our first tandem bike ride in Napier. Very nice views and an easy bike track along the beach front. Very helpful & friendly staff, Barbara gave us helpful tips to get us started on the tandem bike. Would highly recommend
The guy who runs this place is rude and racist, a bold statement to make but he definitely was and is , been along time since I’ve encountered and ruined my visit here.
