Home away from home in the heart of the city - the staff are SO lovely, the NZ cider is dry and tasty, the Guinness is good, and they have a pool table! The music is perfect. Sure it's a bit pokey but the people make up for it. I'm a big fan of the outdoor bench. Long live Father Ted's and don't forget to tip ah go on... Not really an Irish pub. Only in name. Had the fries loaded with cheese and gravy not a combination I'd had before and not one I thought would work. But they were amazingly good. Would have them again. Very kind bar maid helped us get a taxi when we were having problems. Didn't realize she had even paid for it until we came to pay the driver!! I think her name was Amy. So a big thank you to her. Hopefully will be able to return to repay her but we are here only for a short time.

Lively in the evening. Food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Mixed crowd from old Irish men yelling over a game of pool to young travellers. There was a fantastic musician playing Monday night! The bloke was Irish and played a flute, a pipe, drum, guitar, and sang a bunch of Irish songs. It was fantastic!
Awesome atmosphere. Loved the Steinlager Gold Medal and the Shanky’s Whip shots were amazingly smooth and great tasting. I’m going to pursue to find the Shanky’s Whip in or ship it to the USA. Appreciate meeting fellow Irishmen even if I’m not full Irish by blood.
Best bar ever! James/Podge is incredible and so are the rest of the team! They are friendly, funny, & easy to get on with! Great drinks, fun atmosphere, superb location! I am also extremely grateful to the wonderful securities, especially Liva, who have always made sure I got home safe & sound! Definitely recommend this place, especially for other young women - you will be safe & have a great time here!

Didn't have anything to eat as I wasn't hungry. The menu was usual pub grub with decent prices. Love the atmosphere, and the cider was deliciously cold and refreshingAtmosphere: 5/5
