Story

Nestled in seven acres of beautiful woodlands and gardens, Fairfield House is one of Nelson's most prestigious historic homes. Its spacious verandas and unique observation tower have gracefully overlooked the city since 1872. Now, lovingly restored to its former glory, Fairfield House stands as a unique tribute to community activism. It is, in so many ways, close to the very heart of Nelson. Fairfield was blessed as a place of peace by His Holiness The Dalai Lama when he visited here in 1996.
Today, this unique heritage building is available for hire as the perfect venue for any occasion. Its beauty, warmth and grandeur are yours to enjoy.

This place is stunning we are here doing a course it's close to town surrounded by trees gardens and walk paths and bird song
Beautiful venue, beautiful grounds
Great old stately house with lovely grounds and a beautiful park opposite. You can hire the house for events but we just walked the dogs around the grounds and in the park opposite. Beautiful place for a stroll. It's quite hilly so probably not for everyone but we thought it was very nice.
Beautiful place for a wedding! Lots of room with heaps of character. Highly recommended. Our guests loved celebrating our special day there with us.
Such a great night again! Everytime we go it's magical, especially if it's Summer. Music, wine, eats and a great crowd. The fairy lights aren't bad either
Saw Romeo and Juliet here and it was a fantastic evening.
Enjoyed the bagpipe show and Irish dancers. Love the initiative. Seating a bit crammed and shady spots very steap.
