Difficult to find and NO public transport for after hours drop off for rented vehicle. I was stranded on the wharf in the dark!nnClearly an automated reply from Eurocar..... It was NOT a positive experience. Now a 2 star!
We wanted to pick up a rental today, filled out all the necessary forms with the lady at the desk and were just about to put all our luggage in the trunk when a second employee arrived to inform us that this particular car was not cleaned yet. They offered us another vehicle that was allegedly already cleaned but upon closer examination still contained several items of the previous owner bottle, sunscreen, plastic bag… and was damaged on the front tire. When we told them that we would rather wait for the first car to be properly processed/cleaned they seemed rather annoyed. In the end we could leave with the first car after they gave it a very quick clean but all in all it was a rather unpleasant experience.
The staff was friendly and helpful - the pick up process was only a minutes. The airport drop off point was perfect for my travelling schedule, I dropped off the car key inside the domestic airport, it was very handy!
I was a bit anxious after I read some of the other reviews, but we got excellent service at Europcar. The car was the same type we booked , clean and relatively new. The staff who served us were friendly and helpful, particularly the bloke when we picked up the car. There were no extra charges or disputes when we returned it, and I got my deposit back in full.nThe only minor issue was that it was a little tricky to find. It’s in a temporary cabin, under a big tree about 300m south from the ferry terminal.
