Euro Patisserie Torbay North Shore

We purchased venison stake and vegetables pie. It tasted amazing. Perfectly seasoned venison, balanced gravy and fresh pastry. Every bite is delicious and satisfying. The staff a young lady is so friendly and helpful.

Absolutely shocking. Very sticky, so sticky that my knife stuck to the lemon curd…which btw is not, NOT lemon curd. The consistency is more like a sticky toffee. The pastry is over cooked or very old. Meringue is not good, in fact it’s worse than not good, think the pic says it all. Meringue should be light and fluffy. That there is dense and definitely not fresh at all. My husband thought that maybe I would like to try it because I am a huge fan of lemon meringue pies or tarts and this one by far is the worse I have ever had. I’m throwing it away as I don’t want to get sick if it is old. Their savoury pies I’m told are good. Perhaps stay away from the sweet stuff. For the love of God…..steer clear of the lemon meringue pie.

They have received lots of awards for a reason. Their pies are meaty, flaky, and huge. Another plus is the variety of food they offer.

First time trying this place. I got a chicken, cranberry and brie pie, pastry was golden, filling tasted okay wouldn't say it's award winning. Club sandwich was decent enough for $5 and I'm yet to try the custard square which I absolutely love. All up 3 times for about $16 dollars.
