Poor operation spoiled experience: we made quick initial progress but then got stuck, fumbling around for 30 minutes until we conceded defeat and called for help with just over 15 minutes to go. The staff operator came in and realised a radio broadcast signal had not been turned on, meaning it had been impossible for us to progress as that signal contained a room code. Needless to say, we were all frustrated at that point and were unable to escape before the detonator went off. The operator apologised repeatedly but it was still a sour experience
There was a lady working there who just did not want to be there, was basically scaring off potential customers. We returned another day to two young men who were far more friendly and enjoyed the Gangster's Chase room.
Enjoyed the serial killer room very much. The decorations were great and the room was at a good difficultly level for us at the Master level. We experienced a small issue with the last puzzle. However, a quick response from management means a correction of the problem to improve the experience for future players and refund issued which is much appreciated
would highly recommend!!!! parking is easy/plenty of space we did the spy room was so much fun! solved the mystery just in time for the bomb not to go off. good for all ages, we had a 1year old, 10year old + mum and dad. team building great. staff very informative and very helpful..... tip- use the 3 hints its worth it
We did the Toy Store game as a group of 4 2 adults 2 kids younger than 10. We found the game quite challenging compared to another room elsewhere, but the staff were helpful and even helped us finish the game with some help.... It was an enjoyable experience
They had missed putting some of the items you needed in place, such as a black light torch, and a USB key didn't work. No photo taken at end to celebrate winning as done at other places. Have definately been to better.
Played 2 games back to back and found them both to be enjoyable Gangsters Chase and Zombie Invasion on medium level with 2 people. Challenging but reasonable puzzles with a good mix of more traditional locks and newer technologies. Game masters were approachable. Rooms had a good atmosphere to them. Would recommend.
We did the virtual version of the Ganster Chase escape room. We were a bit unsure how it was going to work and if it would be too tricky doing it virtually, but we soon got into it and had a great time. Sweta was our game master and she acted like our eyes and ears 'on the ground'. We were all on a Google Meet call and she held a phone/device camera and pointed it where we asked. She also looked under/at things we asked her to and when something had too much detail for us to see on screen she was able to load a copy of it into our 'bag of clues' in the customer portal. She did a great job and it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to be out of lockdown so we can do a real life Escape Room!
Thoroughly enjoyed Toy Store. Just in timed it - if you count the room being reset as we cracked the last hurdle . Great fun on a rainy day with two parents and a teenager. Teenager needed to read the lock codes.
***Edit*** Escape Masters apologised and gave a full refund off the room that didn't go as planned and have expressed that this will never happen again. Thank you My experience wasn't the worst but it definitely wasn't great. We were playing the zombie room and one of the very very key parts, the UV light was missing from the set up. This literally made us unable to move ahead in the game. We were stumped, kicking ourselves for failing an escape room left and walked out in shame to get to lay down of how to complete the room. We were told where the UV light should have been - in plain sight right in front of the gate, and it was not there. The staff member went and called the person who set up the room and then we were told "no one knows where the UV light is sorry" and that was the end. We started walking away feeling pretty stink and cheated and ended up turning around to see if we could get a refund or something. No staff member offered us anything until we came back to ask for a refund where the staff member finally said "I feel pretty bad, ill give you a discount if you wanted to play another room" which we appreciated and accepted but still had to pay for another person to play.. We played the serial killer room and finished it very quickly, was very simple and basic mechanisms. Nothing too flash about this place at all. ****ALSO! SAFETY ISSUE***** The SOS button during game play did not work. We pushed it when we dropped a key on the other side of the wall and needed to get that to move on. We tried to work past it, but realised that was important so we clicked the SOS button - literally a button for emergencies so we thought we would get a quick response right.. waited 5-10mins before I was like okay I think im just going to exit the room and ask her personally. She came in unlocked the door for us, then 10mins later she came in and was like oh your SOS just came through sorry. Glad there was not a medical emergency. Overall not great sorry. Usually love escape rooms, Wellington Escape Masters is very good though!
