EERST runs environmental education programmes to promote environmental sustainability. Paper4trees encourages schools to divert paper and cardboard from landfill and to plant native trees, while Water4schools promotes water conservation.

Story

EERST runs the Paper4trees and Water4schools programmes.

Through Paper4trees:
- We provide 45 litre grey plastic recycling bins for every room in your school/preschool where paper and cardboard is generated.
- Schools commit to recycling their paper and/or cardboard.
- Schools organise a paper/cardboard recycling collection, at the beginning of the following year they can order their free trees.
- Number of trees earned depends on volume recycled.

Through Water4schools:
-We provide water tanks to help conserve water consumption.
