Endsleigh Park Subdivision

Story

The vision and design aesthetic of Endsleigh Park (formally Blackwood Park) has always been to seamlessly blend town with country.

Endsleigh Park is an environment where all residents have a share in and free access to 18 hectares of beautifully landscaped, well-treed and maintained common land. This common land boasts a well-planned selection of walkways, cycleways, sport and recreational areas, gardens and fruit trees, wetlands, ponds and extensive native re-vegetation.

In addition to the 30,000 trees planted to date, Endsleigh Park also features amenity plantings, landscape art and magnificent sculptural pieces along with common areas for socialising. Tree and shrub planting has been ongoing for 22 years, a wonderful consequence of which it that even on the top ridges there are stunning, mature trees. These plantings also extend between the house sites encouraging bird life whilst providing much-desired shelter and privacy.

From Endsleigh Parks’ inception, extra care has been taken to preserve and maximise the long-term integrity of the landscape to ensure its function as a sustainable, low-input ecosystem. Once these areas were established, 25 house sites were then designed to fit within this landscape. Each site has been planned with a building envelope to protect visual and acoustic privacy. Endsleigh Park’s development has specific covenant requirements in place to maintain and protect the surrounding environment and the aesthetic enjoyed by individual investors.

The house sites have typically been arranged along ridge lines in small clusters with common areas in which to encourage social interaction and a feeling of security among residents. The Endsleigh Park residential layout ensures that the house sites will enjoy breathtaking views whilst also allowing for excellent privacy.

The lot sizes vary according to topography but are typically just over a quarter acre, or 1100 square metres in size.

This philosophy fits with our desire to create a village-type atmosphere within an ecological framework that will grow and develop for generations to come.

I was on placement in Hull for 10 weeks so I needed somewhere to stay. The rooms are good, they have a big kitchen and the garden is lovely. It is run well. If you have a problem with something they are rearly good at getting ontop of it. Would recommend. From PJ
This is not a hotel it is a hostel and due to the serviced accommodation has long term resident's. We stayed for two nights on night one we had no problems but night two was a whole different level of problems....there were a group of foreign workers screaming and shouting one of our party asked them if they could be quiet for 5 mins as we were trying to make a phone call she was then sworn at. When we went to bed one of this group of men followed two girls to their room got in the room and screamed in their face. The night security is NOT security it is a night porter who is pretty useless in an emergency. As it is classed as residential the police would not attend. The manager said she would investigate however the person it happened to has yet to hear from her....and we paid alot of money for this. So please be aware that this is not a hotel even though it has a hotel sign outside, one star is generous for the problems we had and this is just a snapshot of them it really was so much worse.
This is the best you can find for a comfortable place to live and so well run by its great staff Rooms: 5/5
There is a fantastic team that manage Endsleigh Park. Particular thanks to Amy and Lorna for their first class communication, always being pleasant and going out of their way to help guests. A special mention to Ian, who manages the night shift, once again for excellent customer service. The buildings and grounds are great and offer amazing value with plenty of safe parking spaces. There is a vibrant and welcoming community of longer term residents that interact well with guests. I have enjoyed a 7 month residency and will select Endsleigh Park as my first choice when staying in Hull in the future.
Clean and modern room. Best to book direct so you can get the door code for the front door and the key code to get in the room.
