With a background in senior executive management in finance and banking, head of the National Bank Unit Trust Division as well as Associate Director of Southpac Investment Management, Connie has a solid financial understanding. Connie joined the real estate sector in Hawkes’ Bay in 2003, known then as Connie van der Walt. This changed to Cawood when she married Brian and lived for six years on a cattle ranch in the African outback, where one of her hobbies was to teach the local impoverished natives to grow vegetables to improve their health. In 2015 Connie and Brian returned to the Bay to live “in the best part of the world”.

Promoting Hawke’s Bay comes from the heart for Connie, where she has chosen to live herself. The Bay is buzzing and beautiful with a lot happening; the arts, culture, outdoor pursuits, world class produce, food and wine, but most importantly it offers a strong community spirit with people who still have time for each other.
