My daughters both had a wonderful 3 years of training at Empire, both personally and in their high school team training. Kyle is warm and approachable and makes every athlete feel welcome. He is generous with his time and expertise and is always willing to offer tips for improving stunts and tumbling tricks. We had great teachers in all our years there, and always felt comfortable and welcome in the gym. The office staff is also friendly and professional! I definitely recommend Empire to athletes looking to work hard and improve their skills in the gym!
Love this gym! We tried two other cheer gyms in the area but this gym is by far the best!
Our daughter has been attending Empire Athletics for over a year. They are great. Staff is very friendly and work with you to reschedule a session if you need to cancel. Very reasonably priced. Our daughter's tumbling skills have improved tremendously.
The team at Empire is fantastic. They work with all levels and are especially good at working through the all powerful mental blocks. The gym is welcoming to all who enter, whether you are a typical cheer parent or not. When faced with injuries and an athlete unwilling to rest, they were able to convince her that any short term loss is minimal compared to the long term risk. They prioritized her well-being over anything, and for that I am truly grateful. I trust Kyle and his team to give me an honest opinion on my daughter's progression and potential. Not only are the coaches great, their back office team is just as committed. Calls and emails are returned quickly and they can work through even the most challenging schedules. If you are looking for a top-notch cheer gym, you found it.
The teacher in the tumbling classes are not that helpful. One of them just sits there like she is about to fall asleep and the other make it seems like he is doing something but really isn’t.They do not correctly show the students the right way to do something, they just continue to let them do it wrong.
We had great experiences at Empire Athletics. During our daughters first two years as a high school cheerleader, she was trained by Kyle Pappas and his team. Kyle is passionate about training athletes correctly and safely, not to mention, he is a wonderful mentor to young athletes.
Empire athletics is a wonderful place. We have known Kyle for at least five years and Kyle has helped my daughter’s high school cheer team for three years If those five. The entire staff is professional and they really do know their craft. I would recommend this facility to anyone wanting to improve their skills.
My daughter excelled in her tumbling at Empire. I like that Empire is neutral ground and athletes from different gyms come together to just learn. Her coach at Empire, Kyle, seemed to have eyes in the back of his head as he was able to watch several athletes at once and give feedback on their tumbling. My only con this doesn't change my rating of quality is class times, which is the reason we can no longer attend at Empire.
Our daughter's cheer experience began later than most kids these days, developing an interest in the sport as 7th and 9th graders after spending 8 years in the world of competitive soccer. Not knowing where to turn to get our girls up to speed with others who have spent years training for cheer, we turned to friends who had been a part of the All Star Cheer world as coaches, administrators, and parents. We were met with a constant recommendation to begin training with Empire Athletics. After only a few months now that our girls have participated in their programs, we could not be more pleased and grateful for the experience. Both of our daughters have different plans for their cheer sport careers and Empire has worked with them both in accordance with their own desires and willingness to grow, always maintaining a healthy and positive environment for them to learn. We have had experiences with many of the coaches, who have encouraged and guided our girls to set their own standards, and then meet and exceed them. I highly recommend Empire for personal as well as team training. Empire has proven that their number one concern is for their athletes to thrive in this growing sport and has given those athletes a platform to excel.
