I recently dined at El Greco, which offers Mediterranean Greek-Italian cuisine. The quality of the food was excellent, and it was incredibly delicious. The flavors remain consistent over the years, which speaks to the restaurant's commitment to quality. The atmosphere was very welcoming and another important aspect is the cleanliness and hygiene of the restrooms which rarely happens in most restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.
I visited the restaurant with my family. There were a lot of people, and after trying the food, I understood why it was so popular. The dishes had a fresh and delightful taste. Even my young son really enjoyed the pasta here. We were also very thankful for the friendly staff. I highly recommend this Greek-Italian restaurant in Auckland.

It’s a great venue for an intimate dinner or a larger gathering!nnI was impressed at the level of service provided to us from the moment we arrived on a Saturday @ 12:30pm, quite a few customers, but not too busy. The staff were really helpful with explaining the menu and providing recommendations. Really fun and attentive staff, promptly checking in to ensure everything was perfect, which was appreciated.nnI’m sure there will be something here for everyone to enjoy. We stared with the pesto and Parmesan pizza bread, and it was amazing just how simple, yet rich the flavours were. The bread itself was light and soft. A must-try!nnFor mains, we had Gyros El Greco and the beef lasagna - both very impressive! Good layers on the lasagna, and a really nice sauce to go with it. We were pleased at how filling the dishes were would be fantastic for sharing as a group!.nnFor dessert, we had the Vesuvio chocolate cake to-go and it’s perfect to have while enjoying the views on Campbells bay only a 2 minute walk away.nnI can’t think of anything to improve on this experience. It’s definitely comparable in price to other restaurants, but the quality of service and food is one of the best I’ve come across!nnIt might be a bit of a drive if you’re not based on the shore, but it is truly worth the excursion if you haven’t been and would like to try more Mediterranean cuisine!
I had a fantastic experience at El Greco! The dry seafood marinara was a standout with a perfectly cooked variety of seafood. The mixed dips were a delightful start, and the Aperol spritz was just the right touch to complement the dishes. To top it all off, we ended the night with the tiramisu. The vibe of the place was incredible, and the staff were a highlight, bringing humour and charm. I was especially impressed with how quick the food came out considering we were a group of 10. I highly recommend El Greco for anyone looking for great food and a fun atmosphere!
Arguably one of the best Greek-Italian spots on the shore. We always enjoy going there—the food is amazing, and the hospitality is exceptional. They consistently ensure you have a fantastic experience.
