Got the $13 chicken burger, chips and a drink combo. It's yummy and really good value. Chips are delicious and cooked perfectly! Staff were friendly.nnBaklava is a great price at only $5!
One of the best takeaway in west from my experience. Shish and chejeh, and barg and woo chicken and garlic yogurt were over expectation. Awesome mr khorakchi and team. Will back again.
If you're after the most authentic Persian cuisine, Arum is where you'll find it.nnThere are a few Persian restaurants in Auckland, but can't be compared with Arum when it comes to authenticity.nnThe kebabs are juicy and delicious with decent portion sizes. The prices are reasonable as well.nnThe owner usually comes and ensures that you're enjoying the quality and taste of your meal. His delight in receiving your appreciation tells how much he cares about the quality of the food and his customers.
First time coming. Wanted to try something authentic.nIt is a small place which does takeaway food as well. However, I came to experience Persian food.nnI ordered Vaziri, which was Lamb and Safron chicken with Safron rice, charred Tomato and Salad which came with Garlic Yoghurt.nThe price may have increased as it was a few dollars more expensive than the past reviews, but it really didn't matter considering its Persian food in NZ and the food was really tasty. Also the portion was huge.nnThe lamb was very juicy and seasoned perfectly, chicken was also very tender. The sourness of sumac which the owner explained as a Turkish seasoning and the yoghurt cut through and balanced out the richness in the fat of the meat. The rice was fragrant and also complemented well.nnThe owner was very friendly, and helped me to decide what to try as I am not familiar with Persian food. He asked if the food was good, and I gave him double thumbs up.nnOverall, I would come back, it was a fun experience, and most importantly the food was very good.nI wouldn't say the price is cheap for one meal, but it had huge portion and authentic and tasty flavour.nnThanks for the experience!
Low star in service only because there was almost zero interaction with staff - ordering was done via a machine on site. Food was good - although a little heavy on the salad instead of the meat. Missed the hummus.
