Highly recommend Eden Alley or 'n Alley as their sign says, it truly is a great experience in Korean fare. The space is welcoming, there's loads of room and it sure does fill up! We had a table with a lazy Susan, but there is smaller more intimate seating, and banquet style seating too. The service is fantastic, you have a buzzer to call a server and they are really fast and attentive. Then there's the food, it is UHmazing! A lot of it is spicy, but not too hot although I'm sure you could ask for spicier, comes out piping hot and boy oh boy it is tasty. Anyway, blah blah you should definitely try Eden Alley, it will blow your mind.
Loved it! First time here, and we were super stoked with our experience. The food was varied and delicious, the service was prompt and friendly, and it was so busy! It was so great to see so many diners coming out on a winters evening. Excuse the half eaten food photos! Was so yummy, forget to get pics
I ordered perilla noodle. I didn't look same as what it was on the menu. On the menu it looked creamy noodle soup but wasn't like that so I was confused. I asked one of the staff but she said perilla noodle.maybe you need to update your photo.nnBut other than that, I was happy with the potion size and taste.nnAll the staff were nice.
We have been looking for a Korean place with vegetarian / vegan options for quite a while, so what a nice and pleasant surprise was to find Eden Alley! Well hidden on the first floor off the busy Riccarton, far away from tourist attractions is this hidden treasure. Strangely decorated in British style, but don’t be offering real authentic Korean hospitality and food. From the moment you enter you are greeted by smile and friendly staff. Love also efficiency with the button on the table to press when you are ready to order. We asked for help with vegan options and server was very helpful, explaining different options and making sure we got what we want running back and forth to kitchen. Food was amazing , especially traditional Korean seafood pancakes, bibimbab and tofu hot pot. All well seasoned and spicy. Service was very attentive and even on the way out manager came out to greet us and ask about experience which was appreciated. Absolutely worth coming and well deserved 5 starts for overall experience !! Just parking maybe an issue as there aren’t many options on busy Riccarton Rd.
Our family love this Korean restaurant and would eat here pretty often as their fried spicy chicken nibbles and Tteokbokki are highly recommended . However the soup I ordered tonight was quite a disappointment. Not sure whether it is to cut cost or change chef?! The spicy beef soup that I ordered tonight only had 5-6slices of beef cum handful of glass noodles and some egg in the bowl. Quite a let down to eat with a bowl of rice at $23+ Should have stick to my Pork Bone Soup.
