Eastern Marine have been fantastic to deal with, their communication and customer service is excellent. After have trouble getting decent service with other marine service providers I got on Google and found these guys. Zoe was exceptional in sourcing the required parts for my servicing requirements and was able to give me an extensive breakdown of the products, upon receiving the invoice I was surprised to see that I had been charged fairly I've found in the past this is not normally the case and have had some pretty extensive bills from other company's. I highly recommend Eastern Marine Engineering services if you've read this far give them a call you won't find better service elsewhere. Cheers for looking after me guys, smiles for miles out on the water doing what I love most
After getting the run around in regards to a replacement Mercury outboard in Whangarei, I tried a few places in Auckland. Laura replied quickly and was super helpful. Had an engine ready for me in two days. So I purchased from them. Charlie was great with the replacement and adjustments. Helpful advice and excellent work. And they listed the old engine on trade me for the cost of trade me fees. It cost me a few hours of travel but that was time and money well used. I think this is the first business I have given 5 stars!
Hands down the best service and priced boat mechanics. It’s always nice to know your boats in good working condition. Having an older boat with twin inboards means you need to have a mechanic you trust. Before buying my boat Charlie did a full mechanical check and once I bought it there was know one else I’d use to service my boat. They always did a fantastic job even delivered the boat back to the marina for me. Never did unnecessary work and if I ever did have issues when out at sea both Laura and Charlie were always super helpful and easy to get in contact with. Definitely highly recommend them
A belated thanks to Charlie and Laura, after having tried various places to fit a new sole diesel auxiliary to my keeler Charlie and Laura obliged, I cannot fault their communication and dedication to the task. Will be recommending them to anyone in the same boat!
Charlie and Laura run a great business… always helpful and never pushy - have looked after our boat for last few years now and always comes out humming from their servicing

The recent chance of ownership late 2018/ early 2019 has resulted in a huge improvement. Friendly service, quality workmanship & very competitive pricing. Laura’s respect for customers, together with Charlie’s in-depth knowledge of the industry is second to none. I would recommend EMES to everyone, I travel in excess of 30 minutes past my local, for total piece of mind with EMES. Cheers guys, keep up the good work!!
Cant recommend them, expensive and when the new tilt motor they supplied failed inside 18 months offered zero support. Understand its out of warranty but to not offer to come to the party with a new one at cost n fitted free is just poor customer service.
Have used Jim for a while but find his attitude towards customers to be pretty poor. I have no issues with the workmanship but customer service is below average. I have moved my business to another service provider.
