It's what it says when you book a room, budget hotel. I was looking for a cheap place for a night close to the Birmingham 02 and this is very close. I had a small, basic room which was absolutely fine for me. The only issue with my stay was that the shower only had very hot water and the cold seemed to be locked close which made it impossible to have a shower. I'd use this place again though, pleasant enough.
Excellent stay here for a few days, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, we slept very well here. The bar is great too, high class cocktails. Staff are excellent and attentive, many thanks to Marcus and his friendly team.
Had a fantastic night last night the location is perfect. The room was very clean and I loved the fresh bright decor. It had a very modern feel. Cant thank the staff enough for the service especially Ruby. She has fantastic customer service she was so friendly and accommodating. We definitely go back in the futureRooms: 5/5
Stayed at the hotel for a week in January. The staff are very welcoming , the room was spotless clean. The bed was amazing , nothing was to much trouble for staff. Just a shame they have Indian food bar an not a fullenglish breakfast. Price was tidy too. All in all I will be returning.
Generally very good for what you pay. Warm and tidy room, quieter than expected given the area and in all a comfy staff. Staff are very nice and always try to help you. We had one little hiccup during our stay nothing major and something that was outside of the hotel’s control but the manager, Marcus, and another female staff member were brilliant. Very pro-active and more than rectified the situation. Would stay here again and happy to recommend.
staff was friendly and the bar downstairs is welcoming! The room is nice but could b bit cleaner and the window would not shut fully- if u have trouble sleeping w noise around this hotel is not for u, it is directly besides a big street and cars and ambulances pass by constantly. It is located nicely tho being close to the Chinese and gay quarter!
Small but perfectly formed room. Immaculately clean. Amazingly comfy bed. Great value for money and very handy for Birmingham New Street station. The member of staff that welcomed us was very helpful and friendly Rooms: 5/5
Unfortunately I have to give a very low rating ti this Hotel room. It is literally labeled as a "family room", but it was extremely filthy! When we first entered we could literally smell the mold even though the window was open! And then we saw it: loads of black mold under the windows. This is not acceptable, especially if you are travelling with kids. I was so happy, that we only booked one night. The bathtoom was very dirty! There were literal brown lumps of i-dont-want-to-know-what sticking to the walls my kid was forbidden to go in there!. At night, with all windows closed, it felt like they were all open - there was a massive, cold draft and after that night we were all sniffling and coughing. This is definitely not a family room!
Stayed in room 2. 100% no frills. The bed is comfy. The curtains are decent and the shower is good. That’s pretty much all I can say. You get a bed, a kettle, a telly and the bathroom. No tables or chairs and NO ROOM whatsoever. If your just after somewhere to rest your head and literally do nothing else then it’s sound. If you wanna hang your clobber up or do anything other than shower and sleep go to a holiday inn.
Friendly staff. The room is clean and good value. In many ways you get what you pay for. If budget is your top priority it's not a bad option at all. There are some expected compromises. First, my room was tiny I think they have bigger ones. There was no desk/chair so I couldn't work because I can only sit on the bed. Also, if the bar/restaurant isn't open, there are no staff. There's no breakfast and you're on your own if you have an issue. The area is not far from the centre but the area feels rundown.
