We’ve been to Duck Island at least ten times, and it has become one of our absolute favorite ice cream spots in Hamilton!nWhat truly makes this place stand out is how seriously they take gluten-free safety. They offer gluten-free ice cream and cones, and they even go to the back of the shop to get them to avoid any cross-contamination. That level of care makes it perfectly suited for people with celiac disease or anyone with a gluten allergy. It’s such a comfort to know you can enjoy a treat without worrying about your health.nOn top of that, the flavors are absolutely delicious — rich, creative, and always satisfying. The presentation and decor are beautifully done, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is consistently friendly and pleasant.nWe highly recommend Duck Island to anyone visiting Hamilton — especially if you’re looking for amazing gluten-free ice cream you can truly trust!
The service, atmosphere, and food are all incredible. nnWe were obsessed with this place and could easily eat here three times a week! pecan/matcha/ coconut ones all were so delicious, and the pistachio one was my favorite. The staff were super nice too, they’ll share great recommendations and samples
Today I was really happy to return to Duck Island Ice Cream, which is located near the high school I used to attend. About two years ago, I went there almost every day after school to buy ice cream.nnHowever, today I had just changed my SIM card and my new bank card, and my new mobile plan wasn’t working yet. I needed a little bit of internet access so I could transfer money to my Go account and pay for my ice cream.nnWhen I asked the first staff member if I could connect to Wi-Fi, they told me the shop didn’t have any. But I could clearly see a Wi-Fi network named “Duck Island,” and I also know that they used to provide Wi-Fi to customers before. Then another staff member said they didn’t know the password.nnI had already explained my situation clearly and just needed a short connection to complete my payment, but they still asked me to go outside to find Wi-Fi elsewhere.nnIt was quite disappointing, especially since I used to love this place so much.
Absolutely love this place! The ice cream is next level super creamy, packed with flavor and they’ve got the most creative options.nnThe staff are always friendly and the vibe is fun and welcoming. A must visit if you want a treat that actually wows you
OMG!!! Everyone told me to try it, but I wasn't a believer. I am now.nThe mint choc ice cream sandwich was truly amazing, truly amazing. Without a doubt the greatest ice cream sandwich i have ever tried. Please stop and try one, you will not regret the experience. I'm going again before I leave. Yum yum yum
