This is my absolute favourite cafe - I drive up from Auckland for it. The staff are lovely and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing, it is so cozy and welcoming. The seating is mainly comfy couches, when it's busy you will often be sitting around a low table with other customers but I have found everyone to be pretty friendly.nnWhen you order your coffee you get to choose your own cup, and they have such a fun variety to choose from. The coffee is always excellent. The food menu is just toasties, but they are really delicious, and they usually have good vegetarian options. I believe there is also a very small selection of pastries at the counter but I have never tried them.nnIt's my go to place anytime I'm in Orewa, or anytime I need an escape from Auckland. And best of all it is dog friendly, and has its own dog Cracka who is such a cutie.
So good! went here for the first time last weekend and have been back three times since. Yum as vegan toastie and super good kawhe!!! GF toastie options too! Lovely puppy too! Thanks guys!
I love going to Drifter. The staff are friendly, chatting and I always feel at home there. Sometimes it’s for an epic GF jalapeno toastie and sometimes it’s for a takeaway coffee. I love the way they foster the community by having events and evenings for local crafters.
The best coffee shop in Auckland! Delicious coffee, delicious toasties and Maddy's burnt butter cookies are to die for. Drifter is so much more than a cafe, its a community hub where you can attend a food truck night, craft night and even book club throughout the month! Drifter brings people together in a welcoming, cosy space, Maddy and the team do such an amazing job in fostering such an amazing space! Also it is super dog friendly, if you're lucky you'll spot Cracka milling about thanks Maddy for creating such an awesome space with awesome coffee!
Perfect service from the lovely staff , perfect ambiance.nReal good toastie and coffee.nIt feels like home.nLovely coffee place, where the ambiance is good to meet new people and have a chat or just a place where you get creative by the ambiance with plants and nice decorationsnnYou can also meet dogs. And people are really respectful with their dogs.nI like all the fact that they got the couch to feel comfy.nnI found it funny that you can choose your own cup. It's the coffee shop you want to stay there's and not have on takeway.nnGonna miss that place back in Canada nSure, we'll be backnnNelson and Mélodie your French canadian
