The worst toasted sandwich I have ever had. It was half toasted and covered in plastic wrap in their cabinet, then they just microwaved it to lukewarm - the cheese wasn't melted at all, and the bottom was undercooked and soggy and stuck to the paper plate. The pie & chips were good, but having them arrive at the same time on an actual plate would be nice. Nice pecan pie, but expensive at $9 per slice when they don't even have cream with it. Everything comes on disposable dishes - maybe it's because they'd rather we just take our food and go!
Ordered 3 different pie, bacon and egg, steak and cheese and sausage roll with cappuccino and latte, their pie is far better as compared to fairlie bakery, best value with very good food and tasty coffee. On top of it best customer service. Recommended.
Good selection of good food, very reasonably priced.
Breakfast was deep fried and the bacon un eatable as cooked til dry . The pie warmer cabinet had no pies. No delivery today Monday not a bakery as this kiwi knows it . Definitely won’t be back and don’t recommend it to others
The best place to have food. Yummy, too many varieties with nominal price range. We had Veg and chicken burgers which was more than sufficient for a person. Taste was awesome. Restaurant is Specious and staff was too humble and sweet. Totally recommended.
Lots to choose from at this place! Nice and clean set up. We bought a variety of things for our road trip back to Queenstown - $40 got us two drinks, two pies, three slices and a slice of tart. Reasonable prices for what you get size wise of the food and it tasted yummy and the service was friendly.
These guys run the fish & chips shop next to it in the evenings. If you're around town looking for a quick fix for dinner, you won't regret trying them out. They serve absolutely brilliant fish & chips, and burgers, with a plethora of sides and add ons. Their burgers are really good and I'd be back just for them. I personally like the battered fish than the crumbed ones though.
Busy and compact My drink arrived quickly but food order got lost and took too long for staff to sort out. Food was good when finally got it. I understand why people chose to stand right by counter to get staff reminded they waiting for food.
Everything is overpriced at Tekapo for the sparsity. Doughboy's had great selection and they are all relatively economical. I had the bacon and eggs on toast and they were good!
Sadly the standard that was once there during Covid had dropped significantly. Once there was a full self of everything fresh, yet the other day the 24th of January, the sleving was spares and cheese toasties which we came for, were now pre-cooked, whereas before the were freshly made that day. Custard squares had mold on them got my money back, and were told the rest would removed hopefully that happened once we left.
